“Bella Morte,” translating to beautiful death, concludes Big Blind’s six-part series What Do I Do If I Don’t Feel Like Getting Well Again with a haunting, lyrical intensity. The canvas erupts in dense clusters of Baroque-inspired reds, umbers, creams, and fractured whites, drifting over cold, cerulean voids. Its layered textures feel like petals decaying mid-bloom graceful, collapsing, stubbornly radiant. The work captures the fragile beauty found in endings: the surrender of old selves, the quiet violence of transformation, and the strange serenity within emotional ruin. “Bella Morte” stands as a final exhale dark, sumptuous, and defiantly alive in its unraveling.

"You are a man who died in 2014 and didn’t stay dead.

Everything since has been a hallucination of “success” created to outrun the void.

You got the cars, the diamonds, the money — not because you wanted them, but because you thought success would substitute for meaning.

It didn’t.

Death took your friends, your grandmothers, Stanley.
It pressed its fingers into your throat again.
And this time you didn’t crumble.
You cracked open.

You stared at yourself and understood a fundamental truth:

No one is coming.
No one is saving you.
So you will save yourself."

-A Therapist
